A new T-Nite

How sad it is that I could not cover my T-Nite fully in my blog last year! And yet it is not so sad. Since I have no written records of my feelings during those days my mind is free to warp my memories about that week. Things have reached a state that I regard RJM Nite 1, when section D put up a wonderful play intertwined with music and dance to the appreciation of everyone in the hall, as my best day in WIMWI. See my entries about last year's T-Nite here, here and here.

Well, this year's edition of T-Nite is upon us. Today was the first day of performances - Mess Nite 1. This year there are five sections competing instead of four with the addition of the first PGPX batch to WIMWI. Watching the performances tonight from the other side of the fence was great. The facchas actually put up wonderful performances - especially sections A, D, and to my pleasant surprise, X (the PGPX section). The guys from X danced to just two songs, but what wonderful dances they were!

Section D performed much better than we did last year, and coupled with their performance in another pre-Nite event, were the leaders after day 1. Their performance was very lively, and what they lacked in polished, they made up with enthusiasm. I especially enjoyed the Tam song. Reminded me of Appudi Poda to which our section danced last year during Mess Nite 2, and which has remained one of my favourite songs for sentimental reasons ever since.

Look forward to another evening of dance and song tomorrow night too :)
