New Set of Books
Went to Landmark today and bought 5 books. Unless I purchased so many on that one day in Tokyo in 2006, this is the most number of books I have bought at one go. As always, the topics are varied. There's HG Wells' "War of the Worlds", a book about Mughal romance, one on India's Partition (not the one by Jaswant Singh) and one tracing the history of the geologists and biologists whose explorations led to the exposition of the theory of evolution by natural selection. I also bought Plato's Dialogues (Apology, Crito, Phaedo, Symposium, Republic). This was the direct result of a gift I got from a friend in July - Sophie's World, a history of Western philosophy in the form of a novel.
Hope for happy September reading!
